Settle-in Package: What is it and why do we recommend it?

That's why we've designed our exclusive Settle-In package to ensure your new home is set up and ready for you to enjoy, right from the day you step off the plane. With our comprehensive range of services, tailored to your specific needs, Journee is here to make your arrival into your new home in Western Australia as smooth as possible!


Settle in Service explained - what is included?

First step to our Settle-In package is a Google form for you to fill out so you can tell us what you will need specifically. In this preparation phase, we allow a dedicated 4-hour allocation for the sourcing, shopping, and collecting of your home purchases.

 Day 1 onsite: Delivery Day

We nominate this day as our Bump In Day, Melissa will be the point of contact and liaise with all transport companies, couriers etc, and be onsite to receive and supervise the unloading process;

  • On this day, you can also nominate any other delivery to be made - fridge, washing machine, TV, sofa etc. Again, we are the point of contact for all purchases and will liaise and coordinate on your behalf;

  • Note, some companies will offer an AM or PM time slot. Where possible, please choose a AM time slot!

  • Whilst onsite, we can also set up kitchen starter packs and bathroom starter packs, so that these rooms are complete and ready to be enjoyed. We can shop for these items on your behalf, or, you can purchase them online, have them delivered to my office, and we will transport them on the day to set up;

  • For the kitchen, we will wash all crockery, cutlery and glassware so it is ready for use, shop fresh groceries and place in the fridge, shop pantry staples and place in the pantry, and ensure you have all essential cleaning products you will need straight away - washing powder, hand soap, dishwasher tablets etc!

Day 2 onsite: Dressing the Home Day

  • The second day is when we book Airtaskers to come in and build your beds. The cost of this is dependent on how complex the beds are, but normally they charge $100 per hour, so all up it may be $150-$200 per bed/piece of furniture;

  • Once the beds are made, we can make them up with linen so they are fully ready for you to enjoy your first night's sleep!

  • Other pieces of furniture can also be assembled by Airtasker - eg coffee tables, bedside tables etc. Please limit the number of pieces to build to x maximum of 8, as this is generally all that can be completed in one day.

Note the objective of the Settle-in Package is not to completely set up your home, but is to have each room to a level where it can be enjoyed, stress free, for your first couple of week!

** Everything in the above is included in the package cost, except for the cost of the Airtaskers.
